To Adopt
For Parents Hoping to Adopt:
Adopting a child, just like placing a child for adoption is not easy or fair. Though if you think about it, it shouldn’t be easy, as making sure a child is in a safe and loving home is what is most important. And fair has nothing to do with this process; whether you are a woman who is pregnant and unable to raise your child the way you feel the child should be raised or a family who wants to be parents and can’t fulfill this most basic desire through a natural biological process.
There are many avenues to take to adopt and it can be overwhelming. With 42 years of experience as an adoption worker. I, Charlotte Duncan, am available to schedule counseling to help you understand the pros and cons of and to sort through these options. Additionally, the adoption process will be explained in detail as well as how AdopTexas Adoption social worker Agency accepts and works with potential adoptive families.
AdopTexas Adoption social worker Agency was founded in June of 1981 under the name of Adoption Information & Counseling Services, Inc. It’s primary goal since the beginning has been to find loving Christian homes for the children whose lives, we have been Blessed to be a part of. As an adoption agency that holds itself to traditional Christian morals and values, we believe marriage which was established by God is a sacred union between one man and one woman. Though we have worked with families who have not been referred, we prefer prospective adoptive families that come to us through a referral by someone we know and trust.
The charge for the first Counseling Visit which generally lasts 2 hours is $250.00 and $100.00 per hour for counseling thereafter.
Each adoption is different as are the Birthparent’s needs. Adoptive Parents are charged based on the actual expenses to meet their Birthmother’s personal situation. This will be discussed during the initial Counseling Visit.
